Design and Technology

When planning the non-core subjects at Shotley Community Primary School , we have considered very carefully what our drivers and themes for the curriculum are. We wanted them to be individual  and relevant to our school and the local environment. Our  curriculum drivers are for the children to become Global Guardians, Articulate Adventurers and Learning Leaders and these feed through all aspects of the curriculum. 

DT is taught in close conjunction with geography, history and art under termly (KS2) or half termly (KS1) themes where subject-specific knowledge and skills are built upon year on year.
